Years 7 & 8

The home room teacher is responsible for much of the curriculum in subjects such as English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science. Students receive specialist teaching in:

• Arts - Dance/Drama, Music and Visual Arts
• Language – Spanish, Mandarin or Japanese
• • Te Reo is incorporated into homeroom programmes at Year 7, especially through social studies and health topics. Students will be encouraged in the use of Te Reo through creating and practising their own mihimihi, learning of the school karakia, te reo kori and performances around the time of Matariki.
• Technology Subjects – Food, Fabric, Digital Technology and Product Development

All students in Year 7 will receive tuition in basic Information Technology as part of their normal curriculum studies.
